Like many people I was hearing about all the wonderful benefits of taking a probiotic but I don’t like taking pills. I did a little research and found out that fermented pickles, Kefir, tempeh and sauerkraut are all good sources of probiotics.
Fermented pickles are found in the refrigerated section...think deli section not frozen food section.
Kefir is a fermented milk and is found with the yogurt.
Tempeh is a fermented soybean product found in the vegetarian section
Sauerkraut is fermented cabbage which I found next to the pickles in the deli section.
I would try to simply add a variety of these fermented foods to your diet to maintain a variety of microflora in your gut.
